Sathya had two close friends called Ramesh and Suresh* while he was at Kamalapuram. The three were benchmates at school. Once a scout uniform was essential for the scout camp to be held at the Pushpagiri fair. Unfortunately, Sathya could not afford to buy the uniform and had decided to miss the camp. Ramesh, a child from a well to do family, offered Sathya the uniform. Sathya refused to accept the uniform and told him thus - "Friends should not indulge in give and take. That will spoil friendship. True friendship should be heart to heart. Hence I shall not take the clothes you have given Me."
