When Sathya returned to Puttaparthi in the late 1940s, He chose to stay with Smt. Karnam Subbamma, their neighbour. She gladly hosted Sathya in her house and would accompany Him no matter where He went. Group bhajans were organised, and invariably there were large gatherings wherever He went.
