As early as 1940, Sathya started showing that He could transform the outcome of photography. At Uravakonda a journalist photographer wanted the young Sathya to pose for a photo. Sathya refused. Hence, the photographer shot a snap of Sathya as He was, with a boulder in between Sathya and the photographer. In the negative of the exposed film though, a picture of Shirdi Baba appeared in front of Sathya instead of the boulder.
