One evening in 1941, Sathya visited His classmate's house at Hospet. Their joy knew no bounds. The boys chatted jubilantly through the night. Baba lay down in the middle with the two boys lying on either side laughing at all the jokes with which they enlivened the conversation. Their mother made preparations for an oil bath for Sathya the next day, but to her utter disappointment, Sathya left. On enquiry, she was astonished to find out that Sathya had never left Puttaparthi, located nearly 100 miles away!
