In 1944, Swami frequently visited Madras. No. 10 Kasi Chetty Street became famous by the young Baba's visits. Sri Gurram Thiruvengadasami Chetty used to take care of Baba's visits to Madras. Sri Vummidi Ethirajulu, the famous steel merchant, who was then 14 years old, used to attend the Bhajans at Kasi Chetty Street. Baba used to tell the young boy, "Our bodies are nothing but temples for the soul. The soul is eternal. It is housed in an astral body. We should make ourselves the temples, and for that, the first step is Bhajan."
