In 1939, a severe famine ravaged the country. As a measure for raising funds towards famine relief, Sathya was invited to participate in the dramas organised by His father. "Okay", said Sathya, "But on one condition. The script for My speeches and dialogues shall be My own. I shall also compose and tune My songs". Knowing the cultural acumen of Sathya, the elders agreed as a test case. They ended up with a request to Sathya to re-write their own script and songs!
