On 24th November 1926, 24 hours after Sri Sathya Sai was born, the Sadhakas in the Ashram at Pondicherry were addressed by Sri Aurobindo Ghosh, preliminary to his withdrawal from public view. One of the Sadhakas exclaimed, "The Divine has descended on earth!" For, scarce 3 months earlier, on his 54th birthday, Sri Aurobindo had declared, "The object of our Yoga is to call down this greater Consciousness directly into the vital being and physical being, so that the Supreme Universality may be there in all fullness from top to bottom." Baba is that Universal Consicousness, and the Universe is His Mansion - the Prapancha He created as His dwelling.
